How it is put together
The brief
What had to change.
A supplement brand rebranding from ACCA at Home, selling a regulated-adjacent product where careless marketing language is a real liability and browser-side tracking alone no longer measures anything reliably.
Products, pricing and inventory live in the commerce platform and must stay live-synced. The cart is API-driven end to end, generating a dynamic checkout URL rather than relying on brittle permalinks.
The rebrand from ACCA at Home came with a hard copy standard: hedged, compliant language only, and no medical claims anywhere.
Approach
How it was built.
Headless, but genuinely live
A current storefront API with live-synced products, an API-driven cart and a dynamic hosted checkout handoff, so nothing drifts out of sync with the store of record.
Measure server-side, gate on consent
Browser tracking sits behind consent gating and is mirrored server-side through an edge function across the full purchase journey, alongside consented analytics and session insight.
Make compliance a build rule
Terms like clinic-grade, pharmacist-dispensed and clinical team were removed site-wide, and the em dash is banned in brand copy. The rules are part of the build standard, not a review step.
Help people choose
Custom product pages, a comparison table, a quiz diagnostic, cart cross-sells, a loyalty teaser and an advisory chatbot: conversion work that does not require a claim.
What was built
7 parts, one system.
Headless storefront with live product sync and API-driven cart
Consent-gated browser tracking with server-side conversion mirroring via edge function
Analytics and session insight, both behind cookie consent
Custom product pages, comparison table, quiz diagnostic and cart cross-sells
Loyalty teaser and an advisory chatbot
Lifecycle email and shopping structured data
Multi-domain hosting with security hardening
Outcome
Sales are still measured when browsers block tracking, the store never drifts out of sync with stock, and compliant copy is enforced as a build rule rather than left to a review step.
Ownership
Rebranded from ACCA at Home with a teal, charcoal and soft linen identity. The store, domains and tracking configuration remain with the brand.
